I am the CEO and founder of Sole Renewal Footcare and Wellness and a Registered Practical Nurse with over 15 years experience.
Hey, I'm Natalie!
Health care has always been my passion. After high school, I trained in medical office administration and went on to run a physiotherapy clinic on the administrative side — an experience that gave me a real understanding of what it takes to run a practice well. But the longer I worked behind the scenes, the more I knew I wanted to be with the people. I enrolled in my PSW certificate part-time while still at the clinic, and I fell in love with hands-on care so completely that I started nursing school just a few months later.
I completed my Registered Practical Nurse training in 2011 and went into long-term care, where one need kept catching my attention: foot care was constantly being overlooked. Residents were going without care that profoundly affected their comfort, mobility, and dignity. In December 2017 I took my Advanced Nursing Footcare certificate thinking it would be a useful side skill — and within weeks, I knew it was the work I was meant to do.
That's how Sole Renewal began. I wanted to build a holistic practice with both a clinic space and a strong community presence, and to surround myself with foot care nurses who care as deeply as I do — not just about technique, but about the person sitting in front of them. Today our team serves long-term care homes, retirement residences, and community clients across Durham Region, and that care-first ethos is the heart of everything we do.
Alongside clinical work, I'm a clinical educator with the AFCN Learning Institute, where I teach incoming nurses the right way to deliver foot care and what's possible in this field. Teaching also lets me give back through complimentary student-led clinics for community members who couldn't otherwise afford care — something I'm proud to be part of.
If you're here, you may be dealing with something painful, embarrassing, or long-ignored. I want you to know: this is never just a task to us. You'll be met with compassion, careful expertise, and a team you can trust to put your health first.

April is a Registered Practical Nurse with 12 years of experience and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Her nursing career has spanned a wide range of healthcare settings — including med/surg, oncology, geriatrics, mental health, and community care — before finding her home in advanced footcare, where she completed her Advanced Footcare Nurse Certification within the past year.
April approaches care with a calm, friendly demeanor and believes that simple, genuine conversation is one of the most powerful tools a nurse has. What keeps her coming back to footcare is the immediacy of the results — the instant relief and visible improvement that both she and her patients can see and feel by the end of every appointment

Advanced Footcare Nurse
Lauren Loveless, RPN
Lauren is a Registered Practical Nurse who graduated in 2024 with a focus on pediatric and geriatric care — but her connection to foot health goes back much further. Before nursing, Lauren spent 17 years as an esthetician specializing in massage and pedicure services, where her passion for foot care took root and her eye for the need for dedicated diabetic foot care only grew stronger.
Lauren brings a warm, patient-centered approach to every appointment, grounding her practice in empathy and a genuine investment in the people she cares for. She believes that the relationship between a nurse and patient is built on trust, and she takes pride in creating an experience that feels as comfortable as it does clinical.
Outside of work, Lauren is a busy mom who loves painting and going for walks.
