What Is a MediSpa Foot Care Appointment — and Is It Right for You?

Clinical care with a touch of something extra — when your nurse says yes

At Sole Renewal, every appointment begins the same way: with a thorough clinical assessment, skilled nurse-led treatment, and a plan tailored specifically to you. That is the foundation of everything we do — and it never changes regardless of what type of appointment you book.

But for patients whose health assessment clears them for additional comfort treatments, we offer something beyond the standard clinical experience: our MediSpa appointment. Here's what it is, how it works, and how to know if it might be right for you.

What Is a MediSpa Appointment?

A MediSpa appointment at Sole Renewal is an enhanced foot care experience that layers clinically appropriate comfort treatments on top of your standard nurse-led care. Think of it as clinical foot care — with intentional moments of genuine restoration built in.

The MediSpa upgrade is not a separate service from your clinical appointment. It is an extension of it. Your nurse still begins with a full health assessment, still performs your complete foot care treatment with the same professional skill and sterilized instruments, and still creates a care plan tailored to your individual needs. The MediSpa elements are woven in where they are clinically safe and appropriate to do so.

This distinction matters. The MediSpa experience is not offered automatically to every patient — it is offered when your nurse has assessed that it is suitable for you. Your safety always comes first.

What Makes It Different From a Standard Appointment?

The standard clinical appointment at Sole Renewal is already a thorough, unhurried, caring experience — it is not a rushed in-and-out visit. But the MediSpa appointment takes that experience a step further for patients who are able to enjoy it safely.

MediSpa elements include:

  • A soothing foot soak to begin. Which has both a comfort component and a clinical benefit for some, softening the skin and nails and allowing for more comfortable treatment.

  • An exfoliating foot and leg scrub. Applied after the soak, this gently removes dead skin cells and surface buildup, leaving the skin smooth, refreshed, and better able to absorb the moisturizing products that follow.

  • Your complete nurse-led clinical treatment. Nail care, callus/corn reduction, rough/dry skin treatment, and everything else your nurse has determined is required for your feet — performed with the same professional standard as always.

  • A comforting warm towel wrap. Applied at the close of your appointment, the warmth of the towel soothes tired feet, helps your skin absorb the treatment products, and signals the end of an appointment where you have been genuinely, completely cared for.

  • Nail polish application. As a finishing touch, your nurse will apply nail polish — giving your feet a polished, put-together look to match how they feel. Polish is applied using disposable cups and brushes to maintain the utmost infection control, and any remaining polish is yours to take home.

These additions are clinically assessed and individually determined: not every patient is a candidate for every element, and your nurse will never offer something that isn't appropriate for your specific health status.

The overall experience is designed to feel restorative — not just clinically effective. A space where you are genuinely cared for, from the first moment to the last.

Why Clinical Assessment Must Come First

This is an important question, and one we're glad to answer transparently.

Heat, moisture, and exfoliation are not appropriate for every patient. People with peripheral vascular disease, certain circulatory conditions, significant neuropathy, severely thickened/damaged fungal nails, or compromised skin integrity may not be safe candidates for some or all of the MediSpa elements. For these patients, what feels like a pleasant addition could actually cause harm — and that is never something we are willing to risk.

This is exactly what separates a nurse-led MediSpa experience from a standard spa or nail salon pedicure, where the same treatments are applied to every person regardless of their health history. Our nurses are trained to recognize contraindications, and they make individualized decisions for every patient based on what they find during assessment.

If your nurse determines that the MediSpa upgrade — or any element of it — isn't appropriate for you at a given appointment, it is always for a clinical reason. They will explain why, and your safety will always take precedence over the experience.

A Note for New Patients: Assessment Before MediSpa

We require that all patients have completed a full medical intake and an initial assessment of their feet and lower limbs before booking a MediSpa appointment. This doesn't have to mean waiting for a full clinical visit first — if you're new to Sole Renewal and know that a MediSpa appointment is what you're interested in, we can begin with a free, quick consult and preliminary assessment to make sure it's appropriate for you.

This requirement exists entirely for your safety. Without knowing your health history, your medications, and what's actually happening with your feet and circulation, we cannot responsibly offer you the MediSpa experience. Even the most wellness-forward treatments at Sole Renewal are clinically grounded — and that's exactly what makes them safe.

If you're unsure where to start, reach out to our office. We'll guide you through the right first step for your situation.

Who Is a Good Candidate for the MediSpa Upgrade?

Generally speaking, patients who are good candidates for the MediSpa experience are those without significant circulatory compromise, neuropathy, or active skin integrity concerns that would make heat, moisture, or exfoliation contraindicated. This tends to include:

  • Generally healthy adults without high-risk circulatory or neurological conditions

  • Existing patients whose assessments have confirmed no contraindications to MediSpa elements

  • Those who are looking for a more restorative, wellness-forward foot care experience

  • Patients treating themselves — or receiving a gift — for a special occasion or moment of self-care

If you're not sure whether you'd be a candidate, the best approach is to reach out and let us guide you. If the MediSpa upgrade is appropriate for you, we'll let you know. If it isn't, we'll explain why and make sure you still receive exceptional clinical care.

Is It a Good Gift?

Absolutely — and it's one of the most thoughtful ones we can think of. A MediSpa appointment at Sole Renewal makes a genuinely meaningful gift for someone who deserves to be properly looked after. Unlike a standard spa gift card, it comes with the assurance of skilled clinical care alongside the comfort experience — which means it's appropriate even for people with health conditions, provided their nurse clears them for the upgrade during assessment.

We offer gift certificates at our clinic. If you'd like to give the gift of a MediSpa experience — for a birthday, Mother's Day, a holiday, or simply because someone you love deserves it — ask our office team about our gift certificate options.

How to Book

When booking your appointment, let our team know that you're interested in the MediSpa upgrade so we can allocate the appropriate time for your visit. If you're a new patient, we'll make sure a medical intake and brief assessment are completed first — this can often be done as part of your first visit or through a quick complimentary consult beforehand.

We want to be transparent: MediSpa appointments are priced higher than standard clinical appointments to reflect the additional time, expertise, and treatment involved. Our office team can provide current pricing when you book.

You Deserve More Than Just a Trim.

Clinical care and genuine comfort are not mutually exclusive — and at Sole Renewal, we've built a service that brings them together beautifully. Whether you're treating yourself, giving a gift, or simply curious about what the upgrade experience looks like, we'd love to welcome you.
